I will always reply to messages so, if you don’t receive a reply from me, it has most likely gone to your spam inbox.

Below are a few frequently asked questions, with answers, that might be useful:

Do you only provide services to London?

We are based in London but can coach clients across the country and internationally, through Zoom calls.

Why do you suggest having a discovery call first?

I work in partnership with you and this 30 minute call gives you a chance to get a feel of whether you feel comfortable with me. It’s not compulsory, please go ahead and book an appointment without it, if you prefer.

Can I stop using the service any time I want to?

Yes. There is no obligation on you to meet. We ask for payment to be made no later than 48 hours before our meeting and a cancellation notice period of no less than 48 hours.

Do you offer appointments in the evenings or weekends?

Yes, many clients request evening and weekend appointments.

Can I work with a coach even though I’m also working with a therapist?

Absolutely. Conflict coaching is mapping out a route through a current situation you face, and in to future, whereas therapy is most commonly addressing past traumas and using a psychological framework to understand yourself.  They are two different services.

Is coaching the same as mentoring?

No. A mentor will give advice, based on their own experience. Coaching follows principles that help you to determine your solutions, not advising you on courses of action.

Why do you suggest a finite number of coaching sessions rather than leaving it open ended or ongoing?

Just that clients find they don’t need more than a few sessions: The process enables you to become your own coach. I would not turn down more sessions if you felt you needed them but this is rare. And you can always come back in the future for another session/s if things change or something new presents itself, which can happen at times. There is also complete flexibility over the time period that sessions can be spread over.  You can leave a longer period between our conversations if that suits you the most. It’s your decision.

If I’ve used the Conflict Coaching service, can I later include the other party/parties to my dispute in a mediation meeting with London Conflict Management?

In these circumstances, I would usually refer you to a different mediator because everyone involved needs to feel that the mediator is completely impartial, and has equal time with both people. It could feel to the other participant that you had more influence over the mediator and therefore compromises how the mediator is perceived, even if a mediator is confident of their own ability to be entirely and equally impartial and neutral. Perceptions really do decide whether people trust in the process and an equal distribution of mediator meeting time is one way of generating confidence for everyone involved.

Do you pass on information that I share to anyone?

No. It’s a confidential service. But please see our privacy policy for a fuller explanation.
